iPACS is a flexible content management tool using a book metaphor. It has some similarity to PECS, but it is much more flexible than that.
iPACS allow you to customize close to 600 voice-enabled pictures for teaching, learning, and communication for special need individuals. It has 7 different tabs, first of which contains all the favorite items you marked in other tabs.

Clicking on any picture would generate the voice output (if created in the editor), while double-clicking would show the zoomed view plus the voice output (if created in the editor).

Each of the remaining 6 tabs may hold 96 pictures in 16 pages (6 pictures in each page). The flexibility is all there: You may use each tab for each student in your class, or you may use each tab to categorize different objects by type.

iPACS let you create and customize your own content while browsing the list at once using thumbnails. You may use iPhone's camera to take new pictures, or link existing picture in your iPhone's photo albums. You may add new item, delete existing item, mark any item as favorite (for showing on the red short-cut tab) or arrange the order of the pictures.

iPACS also allows you to create high quality recording of your voice and link it to your picture.

As each tab supports a maximum of 96 customized pictures in 16 pages, you may create 16 sets of sentences, phrases, or choices, or even short activity schedule, for each of your 6 students. (Hint: If your picture set needs less than 6 pictures, create an entry with a blank picture to flll in the empty space in each scroll page)
For example, you may designate orange tab for student named Laura. Page 1 may contain washing hands activity schedule (which has 5 steps typically). Page 2 may contain an "I want" picture, followed by 5 common reinforcers for her to choose from. Page 3 may contain 3 pictures showing different emotions for her to learn, etc. Page 4 and 5 may represent a voice-enabled story book with 12 picture cues, etc.
As the student progress, you may customize each tab again to meet the more advanced teaching level.
