HaloTalk is a simple yet powerful augmentative learning software. The application comes with over 50 pairs of responses commonly used daily. Each response/adjective is natural voice enabled, with visual cue to help the user to pick an item.
The application may be used as a set of "opposite" flashcards as-is. However, HaloTalk is designed to facilitate rapid prompting. Since autistic individual has a tendency to verbally repeat the last word(s) of a question, it is extremely important if visual choices are presented to force making a choice, thus eliminating the confusion, and also help the individual to understand how to properly engage verbally.
For example, if the verbally-limited user is in the doctor's office, the doctor may select "OK / Pain" to make the user to select either "Pain" or "OK" when different body part is checked.
High-quality pictures are used thru-out. No abstract picture encoding is used. There is no need to learn any symbol system.

Like all other software from AdastraSoft, no secondary language reference is required to understand a concept (such as using a snail to represent "slow"). All pictures are "what-you-see-is-what-it-means".

An text-based search function is included to allow fast searching.
